My practice is grounded in the understanding that much of what shapes us lives outside conscious awareness with roots we can't access or shift through willpower and mental effort alone.

At its essence, psychodynamic therapy assumes that existence is layered and asks us to cultivate varied ways of listening to the depths of the world. In our sessions we will make space for and reflect on your unique ways of making meaning, paying attention to patterns, to the ways you defend and express yourself, to dreams, to how stories and feelings live in the body, and to the parts of you who are conflicted, forgotten, out of reach, or most often go unseen.

This kind of therapy asks you, over time, to risk being both known and unknown. When we experience and cultivate curiosity something begins to shift and enriching possibilities emerge. Change happens through this lived relational process we’ll discover and move through moment to moment.
